Youssek Khouil

Co-representative of Zalis Maroc

A partner in the Zalis venture in Morocco since February 2023, Youssef has over 16 years of experience in business development and M&A in the commodities sector (phosphates, sugar, fertilizers). He has been responsible for driving development and M&A within key industrial groups in Morocco, including OCP Group, Maghreb Steel, and Cosumar (Wilmar Group), where he served as Director of Strategy & Development and as a member of the executive committee for Saudi Arabia and Morocco.

Furthermore, he has also led the financial restructuring of Maghreb Steel, one of the most significant financial restructuring cases in the past 10 years.

Due to this experience, the holding company responsible for managing the personal wealth of His Highness Prince Moulay Rachid (brother of His Majesty King Mohammed VI) has entrusted him with the development of an investment portfolio in the industrial chemicals and food sectors in Morocco, Europe, and the USA.

Youssef is a civil engineer from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and holds a Master’s degree in management from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
