Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

With solid experience and a successful track record, the CFO must be a master at meeting the challenges of both high and low balance sheets. He or she must be proficient in budgeting, cash flow forecasting and financial reporting. Able to build business plans, the CFO’s actions must demystify a client’s strategy and future results and anticipate financing or refinancing needs. At ease in financial negotiations, he or she must be able to conduct exit valuations and acquisition audits, and more generally bring invaluable expertise in terms of the financial and legal aspects of the transactions he or she will work on.

At once highly independent and a team player, the CFO must be able to take action—and lead his or her team in action—according to the size of Zalis’s client company. Knowledge of turnaround operations is a plus.

HR Consultant

We are looking for an experienced HR consultant (five to seven years’ experience minimum) who is willing to join a team operating in exciting, complex environments with companies of all sectors and sizes. The ideal candidate must master organizing HR duties and optimizing HR processes. In addition, he or she must be an expert in change management in the context of restructuring or transformation projects.

Wishing to capitalize on his or her previous experience, ideally acquired in consulting firms or internal consulting services in large companies, the candidate must be articulate and have impeccable writing skills and solid formalization knowledge.

Finally, the hard-working and human-centered candidate must appreciate discussion and teamwork.

General Managers who excel at leading

We are looking for candidates who have many years’ experience in general management positions, including in assuming general responsibility over all aspects of profit and loss accounts. He or she must have demonstrated ability to restructure and/or develop all operations including all general management duties. He or she is experienced in the techniques applied in different industries, including high tech. Experience in entrepreneurship is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneur and understands risk. He or she is an operational manager capable of acting quickly and effectively. His or her professional career reflects an inclination and ability to take on challenges and take risks. Highly intelligent, he or she handles numbers and concepts with ease and is meticulous while steering away from being too rigidly methodical. The human-centered candidate is used to reconciling decision-making in difficult situations with a deep respect for others. He or she knows how to apply organizational skills to business development.

General Consultant

We are looking for a general consultant with strong knowledge in corporate finance, equity, and, in particular, financial engineering. Several years of professional experience are required. Impeccable drafting skills are essential. As you are developing your career, you are flexible, yet you know how to take command of a project. You are meticulous and passionate, you aren’t on the clock, and you’re are eager to learn. Finally, you appreciate discussion and teamwork.

Internship in a consulting firm in corporate restructuring, strategy and M&A

Zalis is a consulting firm specializing in crisis and change management. Its offer is aimed in particular at active shareholders of companies facing crises in all sectors that are in critical development phases. Working with shareholders and principals, Zalis defines and implements change-of-course strategies and leads the corresponding operations in order to implement long-term strategies to safeguard companies. Our clients range from SMEs to publicly traded companies in industries as diverse as entertainment, telecommunications, health, shipping and real estate.

Zalis has a strong teamwork philosophy and favors operational intervention by teams rather than individuals.

We are looking for an intern for a minimum period of six months. You will join ongoing operations and mandates. As part of an expert team, you will participate in strategic and financial analyses, positioning or strategic turnaround studies and industrial and financial planning.


As part of an expert team, you will participate in:

  • Strategic and financial analyses
  • Strategic positioning studies
  • Industrial and financial planning
  • Drafting information sheets, teasers, etc.
  • Drafting of competitive intelligence and press reviews
  • The daily operations of the firm

Depending on the assignment, you may accompany the partners to their clients’ premises.

Candidate profile

  • Future graduate of a business school, engineering school or equivalent academic level. You have good analytical and synthesis skills and excellent writing skills (perfect command of spoken and written French is essential). You are independent, organized and flexible. You have proven your energy, diligence and proactivity in past experiences.
  • A previous internship in corporate finance or strategy is required (corporate finance/strategy department of a large company, restructuring or strategy consulting, transaction services, etc.).
  • You have a very good command of the Office Suite.
  • You have a very good command of English.
  • This is a paid internship.
