Daniel Cohen has over 20 years of professional experience. He founded Zalis at the end of 2001. Through 20 missions, he has developed a reputation for the successful turnaround of troubled companies. Daniel's reputation is based on a wide range of expertise covering technical aspects right through to financial business aspects. Most recently, he has been involved with: - The growth of a Software Services Company. Previously, Daniel headed various technology companies ranging from medium to large size. He created several companies and subsidiaries in which he has managed Growth Phase Management, Acquisitions and Mergers, restructuring for IPO; in the sectors of: Video Games, Multimedia, Software and Computing, Services Companies, Technology, Media, Audiovisual, Communications… Daniel holds a Master of Electronics and a Master of Automatics & Robotics. Eric Le Mer (X71) has a vast experience in turnaround and restructuring of Software and Computing Services Companies, of the manufacturing sector, of SMEs as well as of large groups. Eric is a specialist in high technology (Telecom, Aeronautics and Information Technologies) in an international environment: - Organizer and Manager of complex structures (multinational, global); Eric joined Zalis in 2002 where he started with the reorganization of the Sales Management of a Software and Computing Services company. Then he monitored various consulting assignments. Prior to this, Eric held responsibilities at a very high level within major groups: Alcatel Alsthom (85-88); Syseca (80-85); (88-96) where he was in charge of the Rita program turnaround, before becoming General Manager of the Training & Simulation Division (USA and UK). He worked on the expansion of Intertechnique (96-97) through mergers and acquisitions. Then, as CEO, he tripled the turnover of Syntegra (97-01), a Software and Computing Services company, a subsidiary of BT plc. In 2001 he rescued the Internet start-up Ukibi before joining Zalis. Eric graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (X71) and Sup Aéro; he also holds a PhD in Mathematics.
Ivan Maltcheff has over 20 years of professional experience in Human Resources. He joined the Zalis team in 2002. He has been involved in main Zalis assignments. For Zalis, he has headed various HR missions during turnaround and restructuring operations. He has headed many restructuring and redundancy plans. He has hired hundreds of people. He is specialised in building incentive plans. Ivan's reputation is based on a wide range of expertise covering change management, incentive plans, coaching, complex systems,… Most recently, he has been involved with: Previously, Ivan has been the Human Resources Manager in different companies: Kalisto; Biorad; Sanofi Pasteur; Konica; Jeans C17. These companies gave him the hands on experience of dealing with companies from 300 to 2000 employees in both French and International operations. Ivan holds Masters degrees in Corporate Law and a Human Resources Management. He has written articles about management and HR, and was the co-author in 2005 of a book about team management in learning organizations.
Jean-Marc has over 25 years of experience. After having worked 6 years in finance, he took a career crossroads and gained in an operational experience in human resources. For 20 years, he has specialized as a coach consultant in transformation situation with high stakes. He guides and coaches people and management teams about strategic decision making. His intuition, experience and foresight allow the client to build balanced solutions that serve the development of the key business players. He is guiding them on their way with precision and with the knowledge that they share together during important steps. He also manages coaches and directors for their personal development. He joined the Zalis team at the beginning of 2008 and works mainly in the business-to-business services sector. As well as turnarounds and restructuring, he is specialised in mergers and acquisitions, logistics and supply chain management. Most recently he was Chief Restructuring Officer and then Chairman of the CAT group (automotive logistics). He has ten years of international board level experience, and broad international experience in operational, commercial, strategic and financial management. He previously worked for Hays Logistics, TDG group, Schlumberger and Ernst & Young. In these various positions he has led several successful turnaround and restructuring missions, including: John graduated from the University of Birmingham (U.K.) with a degree in Political Science and Sociology in 1978 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981.
Roland de Conihout has over 20 years of professional experience in executive management. He has managed several disposals, mergers & acquisitions. Today he specializes in Outsourcing Strategy and Management in the industrial sector as well as for local authorities and specialized operators. Since 2002 Roland has been very involved in the development of the Zalis methodology (management rules, projects and risks management) as well as in the follow-up and the development of these methods. Since 2005, Roland has been working on the strategic aspects of Zalis missions concerning the development of a consulting firm which specializes in project management and services. He is giving operational assistance in the implementation of the commercial organization. Beforehand, Roland worked as Development and Strategy Director for Steria Infogerence, after the takeover of Experian IT Outsourcing activities by STERIA Group for which he was Executive Vice-President in July 2000. Roland is a specialist of IT Outsourcing activities in which he started to work in the 70s as Managing Director, and then President of Méthodes et Informatique, a subsidiary of Bull since 1990, specialized in Facilities Management and of Secours Informatique that later became Intégris. Roland holds a Master degree in Economic Sciences and a Master of Business Administration of the Institut de Contrôle de Gestion (Business Management Information Control).
Jean-Paul Vautrey has over 20 years of professional experience in executive management of IT services companies (CapGemini Telco & Media; Dassault non Defense Electronics Company; Atos global Systems Integration Division; T-systems France (Telco & IT Services Companies). He joined Zalis at the beginning of 2007 and he is responsible for missions in the “services” sector. Most recently he has been in charge of the development of “information system” practice. In these various positions, he led and successfully managed significant turnaround and/or restructuring challenges: Jean-Paul graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (1967) and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (1972). He holds a Masters degree in Economics - University of Paris Sorbonne (1972).
Jean-François Habert has over 20 years of professional experience as a Chief Financial Officer in international groups. Since 2005 he has been working on the financial aspect of Zalis’ main missions. Jean- François is particularly talented at handling numbers and succeeds in modeling complex financial systems very quickly. He has modelled the activities of all the companies Zalis has worked for. He is particularly experienced in real estate, hotel trade, and the services industry. More recently, Jean-François was involved in the following missions: Beforehand Jean-François had been Chief Financial Officer for various companies: Groupe Concept (3 years), Division Tourism/Leisure of the group Sodexho (4 years), Groupe Bernard Tapie (2 years); Avia-Urbaine des Pétroles (Group Elf-Aquitaine, 5 years). Jean-François graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (1978); he is a Doctor in Science of Organizations (Paris IX Dauphine 1981), and holds a DESS Sciences Economiques (Paris II Assas 1980) and a DECS (1980).
Harry Cohen Since two years, Harry Cohen has embodied Zalis SAS in New-York. HC has over 20 years of international experience working in Paris, London, Madrid and NY for major financial institutions, including Credit Suisse, Vega, BBVA, Bankers Trust, CIC and BNP. Harry is the founding partner at HDCB Advisors LLC (USA) : - Responsible for managing currencies and Interest rates exposures or equity overlays for Funds of funds and Family offices. Until September 2008, Harry served as senior proprietary trader at Credit-Suisse on a global macro relative value strategy. He joined Vega in 2003 to manage initially assets within the Vega RV fund, and then launched his own hedge fund as a sole manager with seed capital from BBVA. Prior to his tenure at Vega, Harry spent six years with BBVA. His last position was as, Managing Director, global head of emerging markets. He has managed complex portfolios in distressed times: a credit portfolio through a default (Argentina 2001) and a confidence crisis (Brazil 2002). HC was hired in 1997, as a proprietary trader and was promoted to director, head of relative value proprietary trading. Harry received with honors a Magistere of Econometrics and Statistics (Toulouse, 1989) and also holds a DEA in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics (Toulouse, 1989).
Roch Roustan is working for Zalis as a Chief Financial Officer and as an Executive Manager since 2009. He is in charge of the follow-up and control of the missions in progress. He also has an operational role. Roch has over 15 years of experience in financial or executive management in national and international groups like Index Plus, France Telecom, Wanadoo, MC2 France, Dreamcather. From a financial background (DESCF), he began his career as an auditor for the firm Argos in Paris, and then has focused on the multimedia sector (production, edition, distribution) as a Chief Financial Officer (France Telecom Group). In this was he gained expertise allowing him to become General Manager of Canadian subsidiary in Toronto (specialized in the multimedia sector), and then of a French group. Roch has had the opportunity to work with Zalis since 2006 for some missions such as for CF Gomma in Poland (subsidiary of the group Barre Thomas, an automotive provider) where he has been Chief Financial Officer during 6 months.
Edwige the coordination hub in the management of projects and events in Zalis. She is in charge of the external communication of Zalis by following-up communication actions, advertising, and external conferences.

Head of Executive Coaching Chris Thompson has over 25 years of professional experience in Human Resources. Since 2000, he has specialised in strategy development, leadership, organizational development and talent management, both in a teaching and consulting capacity. Chris is currently a freelance consultant working out of Paris where he has lived since 1974. He joined the Zalis team in 2002. Over the last 5 years, he has helped to build the team, coached Daniel Cohen and run Zalis seminars. He is involved in the creation of the Zalis methodology and processes. Recently he has played a crucial role in Zalis missions. Prior to that, from 1991-2000 Chris was HR Development Manager for Microsoft EMEA and started the Microsoft Employee Survey in the EMEA region, the succession planning process and ran the cross-border high potential leadership development program. He graduated with a B.A. in Theoretical Linguistics from York University (UK) and thereafter taught in universities in Sweden and France before doing a M.B.A. and moving into management education.
